Grayback Forestry is currently accepting applications and interviewing top applicants for entry-level, Wildland Firefighters/Forestry Technicians for 2020 season at our Merlin, White City-Medford, John Day, La Grande Oregon locations and Missoula Montana location. These are seasonal positions with potential for full-time employment.
Grayback Forestry has contracts with government agencies and private entities to perform all phases of forest restoration, hazardous fuels reduction, emergency services, and fire suppression work throughout the United States.
We search for applicants who are in good physical condition, have a high degree of mental toughness and have a high level of character.
Applicants should desire INTENSE HARD WORK and have a GOOD ATTITUDE, be able to travel out of the state and work in extremely rugged terrain under all kinds of environmental conditions. Expect to work long hours, 8-16 hours per day. All applicants are subject to background checks and drug screen prior to employment.
Upon eligibility Grayback Forestry provides health insurance, dental, vision, 401K, vacation, sick, and holiday pays. When working in California, Grayback pays the state's overtime requirements, and other benefits not listed here. At some locations there are housing options.
